Welcome to my blog! My name is Kori Jane Spaulding, I am 17 years old, and a senior at Stratford Highschool. I was born and raised in Houston Texas, but before you ask...no, I do not ride a horse to school or take square dancing lessons. I am a city girl to the core and love everything about Houston.

If you were to look up the definition of an extrovert you might find a picture of me. I am an extreme social butterfly and thrive when surrounded by people. I hate being bored, and I am an expert at finding adventure in the mundane. This results in me finding many creative and adventurous outlets from singing to knitting, and everything in between. There have been random phases of jewelry making, cooking, and watercoloring, but music and writing have been consistent hobbies throughout my life. I love to sing and have taught myself to play the piano, guitar, and ukulele over the years. My interest in writing ranges from working on dystopian short stories to daily journaling. I currently have an unhealthy obsession with bullet journaling, and I spend hours a week listening to, playing, and singing songs as I search for the art of music in silence itself.

I am the oldest of two sisters and one brother. Along with the 6 of us, my house has always been filled with people. My parents are firm believers in an open-door policy and so I have grown up with a house always full of friends and family. My parents are my biggest fans and have supported me in all my unrealistic dreams, including being President of the United States and an undercover FBI agent. Being a big sister to 3 younger siblings was not all babysitting and bossing around. While that encompassed a lot of it, there were many times I feel my siblings have helped raise and carry me.

I am a short, artsy, competitive Jesus nerd with frizzy hair who loves the sky, the rain, and the night a bit too much. I am an ENFP, enneagram 8 wing 7, board game champ, true crime addict, and I love almost all genres of music from classical to country. If you find yourself wanting to donate to my mission, please do! I have quite a deal of funds to raise in less than a year, and any sort of help is appreciated. I am so excited that you found my blog, and am so happy that I have you joining me on this adventure. Stay tuned to learn more about me, my faith, and my world race journey.
